Play tomorrow
We performed our play to the whole school today and are looking forward to performing it to you all tomorrow!
Doors open at 2pm and it will last about 40 minutes.
After the performance we will take all children back to the classrooms and change them. You can collect your child from the classroom as soon as they are ready (probably around 3.00) Please do not try to collect your child from the hall or stage as we need to dismiss them from the classroom.
Photos of your child will also be avaliable to buy for £5 at the back of the hall!

Trip to the Post Office

Christmas is Coming!
Over night our classrooms have begun their transdormation into Christmas wonderlands.
Today we have been busy creating paper chains to add to our decorations and decorating our tree!

Gruffalo crumble
Today we made Gruffalo crumble, we couldn't find a Gruffalo so we used apples instead!
We also tasted scrambled snake (scrambled egg) and roasted fox (Carrot and butternut squash)
We really enjoyed the roasted fox but for many of us the scrambled snake was disgusting!!

Phonics club
Tomorrow (THURSDAY) is the first session of phonics club, if you have been offered a place you will have received notification of this.
The session finishes at 4:30pm, with children being dismissed from the main playground.
Please provide your child with a light snack to eat before the club takes place such as piece of fruit, biscuits, snack bar, fruit roll etc.
The club will be led by an external person however a member of the reception team will also be present.
If you wish for your child to attend phonics club, it is not to late! There are a few spaces left so please talk to your class teacher about this.

Welcome back
Welcome Back!
We hope you all had restful half term, this week we welcome back Sarah who will be taking over from Rachael in R1.
Our topic this term is Fantastic Beasts, we will be exploring stories such as 'We're going on a bear hunt' by Michael Rosen and 'The Gruffalo' by Julia Donaldson.
We will also be learning about the many different celebrations that happen this term- Diwali, Guy Fawkes, Remberance day and Christmas.
A topic web will be sent home this week, providing you more detail about the term ahead.

Titch
This week we are reading the story of Titch! We will be talking about siblings, growing up and comparing size in a variety of different ways.

Handa's Surprise
We enjoyed reading the story of Handa's surprise. After reading the story we tasted fruits such as orange, mango, pineapple and guava- we discovered that most of us liked orange best and nobody at all liked the taste of the avocado!
We also looked closely at different fruits and painted them.
